Delete Your Dismusic Account
Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data
We understand that you may want to delete your Dismusic account. This page explains how to request account deletion and what data will be removed.
⚠️ Important Notice
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your data, including uploaded music, release history, and account settings.
How to Request Account Deletion
You have two ways to request deletion:
- In the Dismusic app (fastest):
- Go to the Account tab and choose Delete Account
- Confirm with your password or your connected Apple sign-in
- Your account and all associated data are removed permanently and immediately
- By email: If you have trouble signing in, send an email to dismusicartist@gmail.com with:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address
- Your account name (if different from email)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email address, name, and profile data
- Music Uploads: All audio files and cover art you've uploaded
- Release History: All your music release records and metadata
- Subscription Event History: RevenueCat/webhook records tied to your account (this does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription)
- Analytics Data: Usage statistics and activity logs tied to your account
- Authentication Data: Login credentials and all active sessions; any existing token or upload ticket stops working immediately
Data Retention
⏱️ Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: When you delete your account in the Dismusic app and confirm with your password or fresh Apple verification, your account and all associated data are deleted right away. Files in Cloudflare R2 and rows in Cloudflare D1 (including your user record, releases, uploads, analytics events, subscription events and login attempts) are removed during the same deletion request.
- Email requests: If you request deletion by email, we will process the request and remove your account data as soon as we verify your identity. Once verified, deletion is also immediate.
- Technical residuals: Anonymous error logs or short-lived system records generated while handling your request may persist only until they age out of our logging systems. These records do not identify you and are not used to restore your account.
- Legal/financial obligations: If we are required by applicable law to retain certain information, we will retain only what is strictly necessary and for no longer than the law requires. We do not keep a separate copy of your deleted account or uploads beyond that.
Data That May Be Retained
Depending on applicable legal or operational requirements, a very limited amount of information may need to be kept after account deletion:
- Transaction Records: Any financial transaction data we are legally required to keep will be retained only as long as required by law.
- Third-party platforms: Cloudflare or our payment/subscription processors may retain their own platform-level logs or records according to their own policies. We do not control those retention periods.
- Aggregated Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for statistical purposes.
Before You Delete
Before requesting account deletion, please consider:
- Download any music files or data you want to keep
- Cancel any active subscriptions to avoid future charges — deleting your Dismusic account does not cancel Apple or Google subscriptions
- Note that deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
- Every device or browser where you are signed in will lose access immediately because all sessions are revoked
- You will need to create a new account if you want to use Dismusic again
Alternative Options
If you're not ready for permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Deactivate Account: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
- Update Privacy Settings: Adjust what data we collect and how it's used
- Contact Support: Discuss your concerns with our support team
