1. Summary in one sentence

Canta does not collect, store on servers, transmit or share any personal data: it listens to your voice through the microphone, analyses it on your device and discards it, and the only thing it saves is your progress, on your device.

2. What data is not collected

• No accounts or sign-up. Canta never asks for your name, email or phone number.
• No analytics and no usage measurement.
• No third-party advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party trackers.
• No in-app purchases.
• No collection of your location, contacts, photos or device identity.
• No recordings: the audio from the microphone is never written to a file and never transmitted.

The app requests one permission: the microphone. Canta is a singing trainer and uses it only to detect the pitch of your voice in real time and tell you whether the note is in tune. The audio is analysed on your device as you sing and discarded immediately; the only things that survive are numbers (the detected pitch and loudness), used in that instant to draw the screen and compute your score. On Android the app also declares the audio-settings permission, which only lets it manage sound output. You can revoke the microphone permission in your device settings at any time; without it the app cannot hear you, so the exercises cannot be corrected.

3. What the app saves, and where

Canta saves the following only in your device's local storage:

• Your measured vocal range.
• Which lessons you have passed and your best score in each.
• A history of your recent sessions: date, score, average deviation in cents and duration.
• Your points, level and achievements.
• Your preferences: language, note names, reference tuning and whether the guide tone plays.

This information never leaves your device. It is not synced, not backed up to servers of ours and not tied to any identity.

4. Network connections

Canta works without an internet connection and makes no network requests on its own. The exceptions are actions you choose:

• The two links at the bottom of the "Your voice" tab (naeku.io and ytrocket.com) open in a browser. The browser makes that request, not the app, and the app sends no information about you with it.
• The rating request. At some point the app may ask the system to show the store's rating dialog. That dialog is shown and managed by the store under its own privacy policy; the app is not told whether you rated it or what you wrote.

5. Third parties

No third party receives data from Canta, because Canta transmits none. The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs and no social integrations.

naeku.io and ytrocket.com are run by the same team that makes Canta. They are never required, unlock nothing and sell nothing inside Canta; if you open them you leave the app, and those sites' own privacy policies apply. Apple and Google collect their own data when you download or update any app, under their own privacy policies; we do not receive it.

6. Children

Canta collects no data from anyone, children included. It is suitable for all ages and has no social features, chat or user-generated content.

7. Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR in the European Union and the CCPA/CPRA in California give you rights to access, correct or delete the personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request from us: everything Canta saves is on your device, where you can see it in the app and delete it (see section 8). 8. Retention and deletion of data

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Two ways, both immediate:

• In the app: "Your voice" → "Erase my progress". This removes lessons, scores, history, points and achievements.
• By uninstalling the app: everything stored is deleted, including your vocal range and your preferences.

There is no copy on our side, so there is nothing for us to delete.

9. Security

Your progress is kept in the private storage that the operating system gives each app, isolated from other apps. Nothing is transmitted, so nothing can be intercepted in transit, and there is no database of ours that could leak.

10. Other notices

Canta is free. It has no in-app purchases and no paid features.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app ever begins collecting any data, this policy will be updated before that change reaches a published version, and the date at the top will say so.
